Rosa Andrews joined Hope for Miami in November as the Director of Communications. Rosa brings years of experience in Public Relations and Social Media Marketing to our agency. Here are some of her thoughts about this new position:

Why Hope for Miami?

I was drawn to Hope for Miami because its mission aligns with what I value most: strengthening families, supporting children, and helping people feel seen, supported, and connected. After years of working with nonprofits across Miami, I’ve seen how crucial faith and community programs are, especially those focused on youth development, mental health, and family wellness.

I am passionate about serving with purpose, and this role provides the opportunity to contribute to work that truly makes a difference in people's lives. Joining this team feels like a natural next step, a way to continue doing what I love while helping families and children in meaningful ways.

What do you bring to Hope for Miami?

With 20 years of experience in media, outreach, and public relations, I have learned to communicate mission-driven stories with clarity, empathy, and intention. I have helped organizations amplify their messages, engage communities, and build trust through authentic storytelling.

Working closely with Miami’s nonprofit ecosystem has also given me a deep understanding of the diverse strengths and needs of organizations serving our city. It has taught me the importance of elevating voices that often go unheard, holding space for real human stories, and connecting people to resources that make a lasting difference. This experience has shaped how I show up and prepared me for this role at Hope for Miami.

At my core, my purpose is simple: to help people, tell stories that matter, and contribute to a community where families feel supported and children feel hopeful.

Who is Rosa, outside of work?

I was born and raised in Caracas, Venezuela, and Miami has been my home for many years. My journey as a mother, wife, immigrant, and communicator has taught me the importance of resilience, service, and leading with heart. Those who know me well know how deeply I feel things. I view sensitivity as a strength, as it enables me to connect with others, understand the stories behind their work, and serve with compassion and intention.
