Hope for Miami is pleased to announce the unanimous appointment by the Board of Directors of Marquia Robinson as the new Chief Executive Officer. If you have been connected to Hope for Miami for the last twelve years, Marquia is a familiar name and face. She applied to be a volunteer after she graduated from the University of Florida in 2012, but her talents were quickly recognized, and she was hired by one of our programs. Subsequently, she earned a Master's degree in Public Administration from Nova Southeastern University, which enhanced her Bachelor's degree in Health Education from the University of Florida.
Marquia’s management skills have served the agency well. She guided us through the national CARF accreditation process for behavioral health and has led each of the key departments (Prevention, Administration, Community Services, and Out-of-School) over the years. During the pandemic years, she and her husband lived in the Atlanta, Georgia area, where she acquired additional management skills from the non-profits she worked with there. Returning to Miami in 2024, Marquia rejoined our Hope for Miami team and was soon promoted to Chief Operating Officer.
Congratulations, Marquia, on this new role at Hope for Miami!
