TRIUMPH'S MISSION
Triumph seeks to provide positive life alternatives for Miami-Dade County youth by implementing habits for achieving lifelong success that will guide them to a positive future. Our goal is to provide effective prevention and intervention education and activities that help prevent juvenile delinquency. We are committed to empowering our students by giving them the tools, skills, and support they need to succeed in life.

WHO WE SERVE
Triumph partners with any school or youth-serving organization with students aged 10-17 years old in Miami-Dade County, FL.

APPROACH
The Triumph program consists of four components: Mentoring, Case Management, and two evidence-based prevention curricula: Botvin LifeSkills Training and Aggression Replacement Training.

OUR ACTIVITIES
Triumph starts by providing educational sessions (45-60 minutes each) of the Botvin LifeSkills Training curriculum, which teaches skills that focus on self-management, developing appropriate social skills, and resisting peer pressure. The program’s youth will also participate in Aggression Replacement Training twice a week (45-minute sessions), which assists students in re-framing their reasoning skills and developing anger management techniques. The goal is to replace antisocial behaviors with pro-social ones. Small group and one-on-one mentoring sessions will be provided four times a month, for 12 weeks.

Botvin LifeSkills Training and Aggression Replacement Training discussion topics include:
• Positive self-image & self-improvement
• Developing healthy decision-making
• Effective communication skills
• Coping strategies for anger and anxiety
• Resolving conflict
• Appropriate risk-taking
• Use and impact of media
• Managing our emotions
• Improving family communication and healthy relationships
