Think of mental health as a plant: it needs nourishment, rest, support, and care. Just like a tree, it needs to be fostered and maintained. All of us, whether we have a diagnosis or not, can work toward positive mental health.

Research supports that early intervention is key to improved outcomes for youth with mental health challenges. There are many types of professional help that can assist our youth in recovering from a mental health challenge. It is important to work with the young person to find out which type of help is a better fit for their journey.
