Channel 10 Literacy Partnership

WPLG Local 10 News hosts an annual Big Book Drive campaign to provide books for kids all the way from Monroe to Broward counties. This year, they’ve partnered again with Hope for Miami to acquire thousands of books for kids in our Kidz2Success program. This marks the TENTH year of working together, ensuring that children can select the book of their choice to read at home. With funding support from donors, especially Vera Cadillac GMC and the First Book Foundation, the Big Book Drive campaign has distributed thousands of books over the last ten years. We want to thank Channel 10, and especially Mayte Padron, Channel 10’s Director of Community Relations, for this great gift of literacy for our community!
