Hope for Miami staff selected Alan Benoit this month as MVP for his outstanding contributions to the agency. Alan joined us in October as the Program Manager for Coalicion Esperanza, our federally-funded anti-drug coalition. He was nominated for his continual and joyful collaboration with his co-workers for many of Hope for Miami’s community events.
Mr. Benoit is a proud graduate of Homestead Senior High – where his love of music and giving back lead him to serve that school later as the Assistant Band Director. He received his Bachelor Degree from Florida State and a Master Degree from Full Sail University. He brings a varied background of skills as a small business owner, middle school teacher and social media coordinator and photographer to his position at Hope for Miami. These positions allowed him to develop his people skills, as connecting to others and networking are critical to building a coalition around youth and preventing substance use.
His hobbies include traveling, music, sports and photography. He had the recent experience through his fraternity affiliation with Theta Rho Sigma to participate in the Miami HEAT’s Black History Celebration of the 162 Black Men who helped found the charter of the City of Miami.
