On October 15th, Coalición Esperanza will host Health Uncovered: The Anatomy of Substance Misuse at SLAM Miami in Little Havana. This is a SAMHSA “Communities Talk” event designed to highlight the dangers of substance misuse and its impact on both the body and mental health. The event will feature interactive exhibits, educational booths, and prevention resources that allow students and their families to see firsthand how substances can affect overall well-being.

Events like Health Uncovered are critical for today’s youth because they create a safe space to learn, reflect, and engage in meaningful conversations about risky behaviors such as vaping, underage drinking, and drug use. By partnering with schools, prevention experts, and community organizations, Coalición Esperanza seeks to empower students with the knowledge and tools to make informed decisions that protect their health and their future. Together, we can strengthen our community by helping young people choose healthier, substance-free paths. To find out more information about Coalición Esperanza or to get involved, please contact Alan Benoit at alan@hopeformiami.org or call 786-388-3000.
