Hope for Miami Welcomes Three New Staff Members

ELSI JEAN-BAPTISTE

Hi, tell us a little bit about who you are, where you’re from and how you found out about Hope for Miami.

My name is Elsi Jean-Baptiste and I was born and raised in the Dominican Republic. I’ve been married for almost 7 years to my Haitian Sensation and we have a wonderful 2 year old munchkin. I found out about HFM through my church friend, Tab!

How will you be serving with the Hope for Miami team?

I am now the Human Resources Coordinator- my responsibilities include interviewing, onboarding, tracking evaluations, trainings, employee files, etc.

How do you think your skills/gifts, knowledge and interests equip you to do your tasks?

I have always loved doing any kind of administrative work (I like to think that I am very organized) and I am a supreme extrovert , which is why I decided to pursue my degree in HR Management. So I have found that this job is allowing me to tap into both of those aspects perfectly!

Finally, tell us something interesting or fun that will help us get to know you better.

My hubby and I are obsessed with traveling! We like to go on at least one big trip, and several smaller scale trips every year. Some of my favorite places that we’ve traveled so far include England, Spain, Paris, Italy, Greece, and St. Croix.
