Come Join Us at a Give Miami Day Event!

Most local nonprofits are aware that the third week in November marks the annual Give Miami Day season, sponsored by the Miami Foundation, to encourage support for charities in Miami. Hope for Miami has been a participant since the foundation’s inception. During the six days of Give Miami Day (GMD), Hope for Miami will participate in several events where our supporters are encouraged to join.

Saturday, November 15 - Early giving begins as the GMD portal opens on Saturday, November 15, at 12:00 AM. Donors can make a contribution by credit card, PayPal, Venmo, or through their Donor-Advised Fund.

Sunday, November 16 - Join us at The Give Miami Day 5K Race + Festival at Maurice Ferre Park. Runners contribute a fee to participate in the run/walk/dance-off activities, which goes into the GMD pool. Afterwards, a FREE Festival takes place with activities for the whole family, food trucks, and exhibit tables from participating non-profits. Whether you’re lacing up your running shoes, inviting friends and family to experience Give Miami Day in a new way, providing matching dollars for every mile run, or cheering us on in the stands, we look forward to seeing you there! To join our Hope for Miami team, please click here. 

Monday, November 17 - Wednesday, November 19 - Early giving continues in the portal.

Wednesday, November 19 - JohnMartin’s pub in Coral Gables is spotlighting Hope for Miami with a special fundraising event starting at 5 PM. They have created a signature cocktail and a mocktail just for Hope for Miami to help raise funds for our organization. Please RSVP to attend this event and show your support. 

Thursday, November 20 - It’s the BIG DAY - the culmination of Give Miami Day! The Miami Foundation has raised matching funds through various partners so that for every unique donation of at least $25 made on Give Miami Day, the donor will receive a $25 match, up to a maximum of 40 donors per non-profit, which enables organizations like Hope for Miami to earn additional funds. Plus, there will be incentives and prizes all day long to incentivize giving. Stay tuned for more information about these special incentives.
